C&C Artists support art auction fundraiser for EACH

As you will be aware the arts have been severely hit during the frequent lockdowns we have experienced this year as a result of the pandemic. Unfortunately theatres continue to remain dark and museums and galleries closed just at the moment people need to be taken elsewhere in their thoughts. So it is very much appreciated that a small selection of East Anglian artists, many of whom we currently work with, have chosen this moment to reveal their altruistic side and donate their artwork in support of East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), in aid of a fundraising auction for an art therapy program.

NEW WORKS ARRIVE FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS OF OUR POP UP AT HOUGHTON HALL

We are delighted to present more new work in our pop up at Houghton Hall. From beautiful design for the home with Katharina Klug's ceramic creations; to amazing handmade paper cut works by Ruth Howes; to breathtaking large photographic art by Gareth Hacon and new painted landscapes from Kate Giles. We are also pleased to have installed new sculptures by Jonathan Clarke.

Keron Beattie nominated for Holt Art Prize

Keron Beattie nominated for Holt Art Prize
We are delighted that Keron Beattie, currently showing in our pop up in the stables at Houghton Hall, has been nominated for the Sir John Hurt and Sworders Art Prize, Holt Festival this year. Keron  gained a First Class BA (Hons) in Contemporary Art and Design (2016) and a MA Fine Art with Distinction (2018) from NUA. His work for A Fine Balance is concerned with the natural world under pressure including disconnection with nature and natural cycles.

ANISH KAPOOR WILL OPEN AT HOUGHTON HALL 12 JULY

We are delighted to announce that our pop up event A FINE BALANCE will open 12 July in the stables at Houghton Hall alongside Anish Kapoor's much anticipated exhibition. Please see the main Houghton Hall site to see opening times and ticket prices. All tickets need to be purchased in advance of your arrival under COVID-19 guidance. New Look for 2020

New Look for 2020

Norfolk by Design has now changed its name to CONTEMPORARY AND COUNTRY and will display work by artists and makers who don’t conform to historic assumptions about creativity being a largely metropolitan activity. Through their chosen subject matter they raise questions about what it takes to shift ideas of the rural idyll away from the romantic and remote, toward a variety of more engaging concerns shared by creative practitioners working in geographically isolated communities today.
